Waiting on Wednesday (12)

As I Wake

WoW is hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine!

September 15th, 2011
Ava is welcomed home from the hospital by a doting mother, lively friends, and a crush finally beginning to show interest. There's only one problem: Ava can't remember any of them - and can't shake the eerie feeling that she's not who they say she is.

Ava struggles to break through her amnesiac haze as she goes through the motions of high-school life, but the memories that surface take place in a very different world, where Ava and familiar-faced friends are under constant scrutiny and no one can be trusted. Ava doesn't know what to make of these visions, or of the boy who is at the center of them all, until he reappears in her life and offers answers . . . but only in exchange for her trust.

Thoughts:

This book sounds very different then the other Elizabeth Scott's books.
When I read the synopsis of this book I was very excited and now I'm really looking forward to read it. Unfortunately, I have only read one book by Elizabeth Scott before (Living Dead Girl) and I loved her writing. I should start reading more of her books until As I Wake comes out!

  1. I haven't read anything by Elizabeth Scott, but the description not to mention the cover on this one are really compelling! Off to Goodreads to check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!

  2. This sounds pretty awesome. Amnesia is a pretty popular theme in YA atm

New follower for sure -- your blog design is so pretty, and we have similar tastes in books! ;)
