A Lot Of Book News!
Hello guys! Hope everythign is well with you! I know that I have had a good time reading about some uber awesome book news, these past weeks. And that I really want to share with you!
Have you've read Hourglass by Myra McEntire? I haven't and yes I'm aware of the thought that I really need to do! A couple of days ago the sequel's (Timepiece) cover was released. Can only say that I LOVE it!
What do you think all these news? Leave a comment and I'll make sure to check it out!
Is there any chance that you've heard about Unearthly by Cynthia Hand? Well, if you have then I have some awesome news to share:
"Yes, it IS true. Unearthly is being developed into a television series for the CW! This is so unbelievably exciting and surreal for me. I love the idea. I have been an avid CW watcher for a long time, my fave show for years and years being The Gilmore Girls. There's nothing like the rapid-fire dialogue from that show. <3 In fact, Unearthly was influenced quite a lot by Rory and Lorelei--I wanted the relationship between Clara and Maggie to be fun and friend-like and snappy like this (and there is a reference to the GG in the book, can you find it?). So I am soooooo pleased that my little book is being developed into a show for this network." - Cynthia's own words (!)
Anybody like Possession by Elana Johnson, like I did? Yes? Good news, the sequel, Surrender, sounds as interesting! It's planned to be released June 5th, 2012, so keep an eye out!
Another cover reveal this week is Until I Die by Amy Plum! As far as I know, though, is that this is the UK cover! My thoughts? Lovely! I love the purple and blue-ish! Matches the first cover. Do you like it?

TGIF (24)
TGIF is hosted by Ginger from GReads!
There are some books that I'm just happy that I didn't read in Halloween. Because, I would've been scared for life. I'll be honest, I'm NOT easily scared, so if there's a book that I feel fear from, I'm impressed. It takes a lot to manage to scare a reader and I admire the authors that can do that!
There's a special series that I really LOVE. And that's not enough to describe my feeling for the series. Ms. Stolarz is an amazing author and her books are so good. The only series that I've read by her is the Touch series. Those books will always have a part in my heart (I'm not overreacting). These books have scared the cr*p out of me and made me smile, laugh and cry. It's such a beautiful story and I can't wait to see what's going to happen for Camelia and Ben in Deadly Little Voices which is being released December 6th. December is a good time to read the Touch series and I recommend them from the middle of my heart!
Anna Dressed In Blood
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
But she, for whatever reason, spares Cas's life.
Possess
Gretchen McNeil
Fifteen-year-old Bridget Liu just wants to be left alone: by her over-protective mom, by Matt Quinn, the cute son of a local police sergeant, and by the eerie voices she can suddenly and inexplicably hear. Unfortunately for Bridget, the voices are demons—and Bridget possesses the rare ability to banish them back to whatever hell they came from. Literally.
Terrified to tell her friends or family about this new power, Bridget confides in San Francisco’s senior exorcist, Monsignor Renault. The monsignor enlists her help in increasingly dangerous cases of demonic possession, but just as she is starting to come to terms with her freakish new role, Bridget receives a startling message from one of the demons. And when one of her oldest friends is killed, Bridget realizes she’s in deeper than she ever thought possible. Now she must unlock the secret to the demons’ plan before someone else close to her winds up dead—or worse, the human vessel for a demon king.
All three of these sound amazing and I really like them. Have you've read them? What do you think? I'd love to know!
If you have any other recommendations I would love to hear about them! Leave me a link in the comments and I'll make sure to check it out!
Spooktacular Reads: Which books do you consider festive Halloween reads? Which stories have chilled you to the bone?

Anna Dressed In Blood
Another series that I really like is The Body Finder series by Kimberly Derting. I remember reading The Body Finder a Sunday night in January and finished it after a couple of hours and felt like I never wanted to leave me house! Ms. Derting is a very talented author and if you haven't read The Body Finder series make sure to do that before The Last Echo is released!
There are also some books that have been recommended for me:
The Name Of The Star
Maureen Johnson
The day Louisiana teenager Rory Deveaux arrives in London marks a memorable occasion. For Rory, it's the start of a new life at a London boarding school. But for many, this will be remembered as the day a series of brutal murders broke out across the city, gruesome crimes mimicking the horrific Jack the Ripper in the autumn of 1888.
Soon "Rippermania" takes hold of modern-day London, and the police are left with few leads and no witnesses. Except one. Rory spotted the man police now believe to be the prime suspect. But she is the only one who saw him. Even her roommate, who was with her at the time, didn't notice the mysterious man. So why can only Rory see him? And more urgently, why has Rory become his next target? In this edge-of-your-seat thriller, full of suspense, humor, and romance, Rory will learn the truth about the secret ghost police of London and discover her own shocking abilities.

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay. When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: track, hunt, kill. Shut Out by Kody Keplinger
Shut Out
Kody Keplinger
Release Date: September 5th, 2011

Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it's a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part,Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy's car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend's attention.
Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players' girlfriends go on a hookup strike. The boys won't get any action from them until the football and soccer teams make peace. What they don't count on is a new sort of rivalry: an impossible girls-against-boys showdown that hinges on who will cave to their libidos first. And Lissa never sees her own sexual tension with the leader of the boys, Cash Sterling, coming.
My Thoughts:
Shut Out was the first book I read by Kody Keplinger and I was stunned! This book is hilarious, sad and everything else in a big mix! I loved Ms. Keplinger's writing, it was so original and ahh, can't describe it!
I really liked Lissa as a character! She was original and sweet. But there was just something I would want to tell her; Chill. Seriously, that girl needed to relax. She thought about everyone and everything, I'll admit, I can relate to her. I felt like she wanted to make everyone happy and it didn't matter if she was happy or not. Cash was just ... Cash. I absolutely admired that dude. Awesome! Wanna know why? Well, read the book!
Another person I couldn't help but love was Randy. He was adorable, even though there was one part where I wanted to throw something at him, other than that he was pretty cute!
Shut Out will defintely NOT be my last book by Kody Keplinger. This book made me laugh and be sad at the same time and I find it hard finding these kind of books! Read, please.

My Life Next Door
Huntley Fitzpatrick
"One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time."
The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, numerous, messy. And every day from her balcony perch, seventeen year old Samantha wishes she was one of them… until the day Jase Garrett climbs her terrace and changes everything.
I'm so excited for this book! Sounds really romantic and it kinda reminded me of Lola!

Original Sin by Lisa Desrochers
Original Sin
Lisa Desrochers
Release Date: July 5th, 2011
Pages: 400
Source: Library
Luc Cain was born and raised in Hell, but he isn’t feeling as demonic as usual lately—thanks to Frannie Cavanaugh and the unique power she never realized she had. But you can’t desert Hell without consequences, and suddenly Frannie and Luc find themselves targeted by the same demons who used to be Luc’s allies.
Left with few options, Frannie and Luc accept the protection of Heaven and one of its most powerful angels, Gabe. Unfortunately, Luc isn’t the only one affected by Frannie, and it isn’t long before Gabe realizes that being around her is too…tempting. Rather than risk losing his wings, he leaves Frannie and Luc under the protection of her recently-acquired guardian angel.
Which would be fine, but Gabe is barely out the door before an assortment of demons appears—and they’re not leaving without dragging Luc back to Hell with them. Hell won’t give up and Heaven won’t give in. Frannie’s guardian exercises all the power he has to keep them away, but the demons are willing to hurt anyone close to Frannie in order to get what they want. It will take everything she has and then some to stay out of Hell’s grasp.
And not everyone will get out of it alive.
My Thoughts:
I was left amazed by Personal Demons so I was really looking forward to read Original Sin. And I really want to make one point across: I was NOT disappointed! Ms. Desrochers is a great author and I love her writing. The way she hooks the reader from the very first page all the way through the story!
If you've read my Personal Demons review you probably found out that I really liked Frannie as a character! She was a kick-ass kind of girl and I find that really cool. She trusted her boyfriend, but then we had the love triangle (which I do not mind, since Gabe is just adorable!) which made her question herself. One character I did not like was Matt. Clearly, he didn't particularly like Luc, but less hatred would have been awesome!
The ending of Original Sin was different. I thought it would be totally different, but I wouldn't say that I didn't like it, no! It was awesome just like the rest of the story! But something was missing, I just don't know what it was.
I'm really looking forward to read the third book in the series, Last Rite, which is published in May next year. Like I said, the Personal Demon series is awesome and I would totally recommend it!

Haven Moore and Iain Morrow have been living a blissful life in Rome, an ocean way from the Ouroboros Society and its diabolical leader. But paradise is not to last. The mysterious disappearance of Haven's best friend, Beau, sends the pair running back to New York, where they encounter the Horae, an underground group of women who have spent centuries scheming to destroy Adam Rosier. Only they can help Haven uncover the secret to Beau's whereabouts in one of her past lives. But their help comes at a price: Haven must infiltrate the Ouroboros Society, charm Adam Rosier, and lure him into a trap. It's a plan the Horae believe will save the world-but Haven and Iain fear that it may destroy the happiness they've been chasing for two thousand years
My Thoughts:
All You Desire is an absolutely amazing book! I loved, loved, loved it and I admit that I never thought that I would actually read The Eternal Ones when it was published last year! But I did, and I'm very glad that I did!
We're back in Havens crazy worl where you don't know who to trust and who to don't. Haven was a tough girl and I liked her that way. She had changed during the last book and she wasn't the same old Haven. One character that I loved was Ian. He's so cute and clearly he cares about Haven!
One person that I found myself thinking of a lot was Adam. And believe it or not I started loving him too! He wasn't the same person like he was in the first book, he had changed and it wasn't the same addictive love he had for Haven.
I really hope that there's a third book in the series, I mean, there HAS to be another one. Especially with that ending! If you haven't read this series, I prefer that you do. Now.

All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin
All These Things I've Done
Gabrielle Zevin
Release Date: September 27th, 2011
Pages: 354
Source: ARC provided by publisher
In 2083, chocolate and coffee are illegal, paper is hard to find, water is carefully rationed, and New York City is rife with crime and poverty. And yet, for Anya Balanchine, the sixteen-year-old daughter of the city's most notorious (and dead) crime boss, life is fairly routine. It consists of going to school, taking care of her siblings and her dying grandmother, trying to avoid falling in love with the new assistant D.A.'s son, and avoiding her loser ex-boyfriend. That is until her ex is accidently poisoned by the chocolate her family manufactures and the police think she's to blame. Suddenly, Anya finds herself thrust unwillingly into the spotlight--at school, in the news, and most importantly, within her mafia family.
My Thoughts:
All These Things I've Done was simply amazing. You know when you have that feeling that you want to read something new. Something undiscovered. Something bold. All These Things I've Done has it.
The characters were all important, because they all had their role in story and no matter how little it was, it had a meaning for the story! I really liked Anya, but I admit, she could get a bit overprotective. But then you remember that she lost a lot of people in her life and you think that she has all the right to be the way she is.
Win was just adorable. I couldn't help but admire how he took care of Anya and kept coming back to her no matter what. Other characters I really liked were Anya's brother Leo and her cousin Mikey.
This story is very sad, but also very different. You never know what to expect. Everyone should read All These Things I've Done!

I don't even know if I want to answer this, because I'm literally scared of my TBR pile. I hvae books that are to-be-read, everywhere! And I'm not joking. On my Goodreads I have 188 books to read and I'm pretty sure that there are M-A-N-Y more that I haven't added yet.
They way I work with my reading is that I usually try to finish a book before the publishing date, which means that I read the books that I recieve for review before the ones I buy, because of that my to read pile is a mountain.

Waiting On Wednesday (23)
WoW is hosted by Jill from Breaking The Spine!

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18B. Hadley's in 18A.
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.
This book sounds amazing. Meeting someone on an airplane and falling in love. Oh yes, that's exactly what I need! Any reason why I shouldn't want to read this? No! ;D
What are you waiting on this week? Leave me a link in the comments and I'll make sure to check it out!

Carrier Of The Mark by Leigh Fallon
Carrier Of The Mark
Leigh Fallon
Release Date: October 4th, 2011
Pages: 352
Source: ARC provided by publisher (Thank you so much HarperCollins Canada!)
Their love was meant to be.
When Megan Rosenberg moves to Ireland, everything in her life seems to fall into place. After growing up in America, she's surprised to find herself feeling at home in her new school. She connects with a group of friends, and she is instantly drawn to darkly handsome Adam DeRÃs.
But Megan is about to discover that her feelings for Adam are tied to a fate that was sealed long ago—and that the passion and power that brought them together could be their ultimate destruction.
My Thoughts:
Carrier of the Mark was an amazing story with amazing twists and surprises. Leigh Fallon made a great job with writing this book, because once I started reading it I couldn't stop, and when I eventually needed to stop I couldn't stop thinking about it!
I could really relate to Megan with the moving and starting a new school. She was the kind of girl that wasn't really shy nor that outgoing. And I liked that. Adam was also amazing. I loved him as a character and Megan's boyfriend. They matched eachothers personallity
Another character I found myself very interested in was Rian, Adam's brother. He was mysterious and didn't like Megan and to be honest, I still don't know why. Even though stuff gets clearer towards the ending.
Again, I loved this book and I can't wait to read the next one in the series. Anyone interested reading about love and something supernatural? I totally recommend Carrier of the Mark!

Eve by Anna Carey
Eve
Anna Carey
Release Date: October 4th, 2011
Pages: 336
Source: ARC provided by publisher (Thank you so much to HarperCollins Canada!)
The year is 2032, sixteen years after a deadly virus—and the vaccine intended to protect against it—wiped out most of the earth’s population. The night before eighteen-year-old Eve’s graduation from her all-girls school she discovers what really happens to new graduates, and the horrifying fate that awaits her.
Fleeing the only home she’s ever known, Eve sets off on a long, treacherous journey, searching for a place she can survive. Along the way she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy living in the wild. Separated from men her whole life, Eve has been taught to fear them, but Caleb slowly wins her trust...and her heart. He promises to protect her, but when soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must choose between true love and her life.
My Thoughts:
Eve wasn't like anything of the dystopian books I've read. The story started off really great, but a little bit slow. After the first couple of chapters the story took of and I can't really explain what happened after that. The only thing I remember is that I closed the book and face-palmed myself (I'll get to that part..)
The plot was very good and I was impressed my Ms. Carey's writing style. It was definitely different, but on an awesome way!
The characters all had an important role. Eve was confused in the most of the parts during the story, but I could see that everything was new for her. I loved how she also took the initiative to teach the little boys to read. One character that I didn't like was Arden, even toward the ending (okay, maybe a little then, but only then). Caleb was... different then I expected him, but also very sweet and respectful.
Face-palm Part: The story ended so quickly. It felt like I started reading it and finished it after an hour. It was a very fast read for me.
But that ending. That ending!! THAT's why I face-palmed myself. How am I going to wait until the next book comes out!! Eve is a very different story about love and I recommend it to everyone who's looking for romance and action.
