She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can't find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.
Nikki longs to spend these months reconnecting with her boyfriend, Jack, the one person she loves more than anything. But there's a problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who first enticed her to the Everneath, has followed Nikki to the mortal world. And he'll do whatever it takes to bring her back- this time as his queen.
As Nikki's time grows short and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she's forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole's...
My Thoughts:
This book...Ahh, this book. One of my favourite of all times. After I finished the last page of Everneath, I was speechless, because it was one amazing ride. The story was so unique and if you've been following my blog, you know that I absolutely love mythology, but this was unlike anything I've read before!
I adored Nikki, she was so brave and didn't give up easily, even when she had all the right to. She made some mistakes, though, and that changed everything. When Nikki came back to her normal life, she seemed so lost and didn't know what to do, but then Jack tagged along and yeah, that boy was too sweet. But I couldn't help falling for Cole, too. He was so cute and even though he tricked her, I couldn't help it, he was too mysterious to let go.
The ending was a bit of a pain for me, because now I have to wait a looong time till the second book comes out and you know. Overall, this book is absolutely fabulous and I can't wait to read more about Nikki, Jack, Cole and the Everneath.
